EVENT RECAP
"On 24th February Earth/Healing the Rift saw a captivated
international and local crowd of enchanted guests to an event that has
made history in this part of the world, both for the unprecedented
spectacularity of the set and lay out, its extraordinary magic appeal,
the unexpected special effects, and the quality of its world class
musicians and artists, who flew in from many corners of the world to
participate.
The Great Rift Valley Trust reputation for outstanding original
performances of world class events inspired by environmental themes, is now firmly established.
The appointment is for next year: last February week end: 23rd February 2008.
The Great Rift valley Trust is grateful to its sponsors and in particular Celtel, the leading African mobile telephone company, who, with the Gallmann Memorial Foundation, were its main supporter.
Other support came from Kenya Shell, the Italian Institute of Culture, The USA Cultural section at the USA Embassy in Nairobi, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, and the United Nations Environment programme."
